Humble start (the perennial patch) and a cutie patootie dog (Dottie-adopted from a local shelter after being taken from her previous owners neglect).

When we moved in, there was a large swing set in the square perennial area. We have since planted the butterfly bushes and started planting cone flowers, blanket flowers, etc...... We are trying what my husband calls a "shotgun approach" to see what works best (within reason, I am reading books and trying to make good choices too).

Hannah (our "spunkiest" Saint) dug up some of our plants last year. We have a new fence so that we can supervise her more thoroughly this year, and she is "maturing", so things should go more smoothly from here forward!

I owe the fantastic gazing ball stand to my parents and the terrific bird bath to my fantastic husband! The small statue was a fun find at Home Goods.
